    RE: Now I ain't sayin' she's a golddiger

    January 14

    Now I ain't sayin' she's a golddiger

"I'm not a golddigger, I'm an opportunity chaser."

    --Sanda

(Taken from Olena's blog, but at first from Sandra's mouth)

    Argh that Weather.

The only thing positive about humidity is that it makes my hair curlier.

    Chinese Food box

Will I have to go to New York to get some Chinese food in one of those boxes?

I really want to go sit in a park, open my Chinese food box, crack chop sticks and eat, I really do.

    Just noticed that

we never get fed up of discovering new bands, it’s just an amazing somethin’!

    Thanks! to

    Daph-Nome for Gotan Project

    Mimi for The Cat Empire

Sandra for Amadou et Mariam and all that weird music on your laptop

Nat for Martha Wainwright and Artic Monkeys

    Kyle for Ben Harper

And Olena for (entre autres) Emily Haines’ legs, skirt and voice (yay!), Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, Jeff Buckley, Neko Case, some other femmes fatales and WAY more!

    Tons of laughs, or tears?

    First from Peter to Olena
    then from Olena to Alex

Then from Alex to all of you.
    Watch it.

Mapple Leaf Pub - Covent Garden - London

Covent Garden at night is amazing! It's looks like, feels like, smells like Le vieux Quebec. I had some good time walking around. Streets are crowded at night whatever day of the week it is. Just pick your pub, dance club or restaurant. Then why on earth did we end up at Mapple Leaf pub?

    Welcome to Mapple Leaf Pub!

    • Barmaid wearing "Canadian Girls Rock" t-shirt.
    • Serving Poutine!
    • Serving Canadian beer
    • Fake Moose head or beavers on the wall. lol The work
    What the heck ?

    • Your 5 or 6 pounds (about 10 canadian dollars) Molson beer is served to you by a girl with an Australian accent !
    • A guy on the table next to us was eating a Poutine. Cool, right? Wrong. He was eating with a fork and a knife. HE WAS CUTTING HIS POUTINE! For sake!

I have to confess that I had to have some Strongbow there on July 1st. Although Canadia number 1 (also called Kyle) managed to drop is first one. Splash!

But still, felt good. London, Canada day, Canada Pub!

"Ok too crowded, let's get out of here! Are we going to the Zoo Bar yet ?"

    Aw. Party animals!

    Kind regards
    Alex.

    My Top13 in Ottawa

A night at Mercury Lounge and Zaphod's
    A sugar and lemon beavertail
Going for a run in the town around 8 pm
    Bubble tea on Dalhousie
Walking on U of O campus on a suturday morning, while it's all still sleepy
International movie night on Thursdays (finger crossed)
Taking a walk @ night with Sandra Dee to the terrasse with the awsome view
Throwing a football instead of Economics
Cheap Indian buffet on a week day for lunch (Corner of Rideau, Cumberland)
Having a latte at Timothy's with 20% off (Arnault serving it, of course)
    A sandwcih from La Bottega
Skating on the canal (because it's frozen sometimes)
Going to NAC with Buzz Tickets
    Getting wireless all over campus!

    Of course, it's a top13, so 14 isn't actually part of the top13.

    Barrymore's on a Sunday night - 80's night.

    1. Get all your party animal friends (if possible, with no monday morning class)
    2. Meet up in Rez (hey why not?)
    3. Drink some booze (obviously can't be thompson's!) and sing out along with the music you turned out loud.
    4. Get dressed up. It can almost make you feel like it's Halloween any Sunday!
    5. Tease your hair (don't forget to put to much spray, put too much shinny-pink eye shade, borrow your friend's lipstick, also put too much of that.
    6. DON'T FORGET to take pictures
    7. Monday morning class.
(Kind of hard) Be ready to explain Why your hair looks like it has been dreaded up?...

Repeat step 1 to 6 every week if you want. (Step 7 isn't really necessary)

To all you than raise up your nose when we talk about going commando.

Girsl, come on, put on a skirt and your favorite flip flops and take off those damn underwear. Feel the breeze.
